At Karen Burkholder Insurance Agency, LLC, our mission has always been to protect families and preserve legacies. That same passion for service extends far beyond insurance. It is why I am proud to serve as a member of the

NorthEast Dallas County Kiwanis Club.

The Kiwanis Club is dedicated to building stronger communities by supporting children and families through hands-on projects and local partnerships. Our club’s signature effort, the Disaster Relief Backpack Program, provides essential supplies to families affected by disasters. Each backpack offers immediate comfort, carrying items that help restore hope during difficult times.

What is Kiwanis?

Kiwanis International is a global service organization founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan. Since then, it has grown into a worldwide network of volunteers in more than 80 nations, all committed to improving the lives of children and strengthening communities.

The organization’s motto, “Serving the Children of the World,” reminds us that small acts of kindness create lasting impact. Kiwanis clubs focus on projects that fight hunger, support education, promote leadership, and provide aid during disasters. From local reading programs to international medical initiatives, Kiwanis members work every day to create safer, healthier futures for children everywhere.
